Po tym, jak Isagi Yoichi, napastnik drużyny licealnej, odpadł w ostatnim meczu kwalifikacji do mistrzostw krajowych, otrzymuje zaproszenie do programu o nazwie „Blue Lock” Ich trenerem zostanie Ego Jinpachi, który zamierza „zniszczyć japońską piłkę nożną przegranych”, wprowadzając radykalny, nowy program treningowy: odizolować 300 młodych napastników w przypominającej więzienie placówce o nazwie „Blue Lock” i poddać ich rygorystycznemu treningowi mającemu na celu stworzenie „największego egoisty wśród napastników na świecie”.
