Ai Yasumi, uczennica pierwszej klasy liceum mieszkająca na odległej wyspie Izu Ōshima, ma jedną obsesję: mangę. Kiedy dowiaduje się, że jej ulubiona autorka mangi, Yasuno-sensei – od dawna podziwiana przez nią, ale prowadząca samotnicze życie – pojawi się wyjątkowo na Comitia, Ai nie waha się ani chwili – musi spotkać swoją bohaterkę. Jednak ta jedna decyzja zapoczątkowuje serię spotkań, które zburzą jej wyobrażenia o sztuce, geniuszu i tym, co naprawdę oznacza tworzenie.
